Meet Dr. Narendra Singh

Dr. Singh is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC), the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (FCCS), the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and the American Heart Association (FAHA). Dr. Singh has been a site investigator in over 125 national and international trials. He actively designs and conducts independent research. He has published extensively on topics ranging from acute coronary syndromes, health outcomes following treatment, disparities in access to care, and South Asian heart disease.

He graduated in the top ten of his class from Dalhousie Medical School in Halifax Nova Scotia and went on to complete residency and fellowship programs in cardiology at the University of Toronto. He practiced for 8 years in Toronto at the Rouge Valley Health System – Centenary site, and continues his Canadian affiliation with Osler Cardiology Associates in Brampton Ontario.

In Canada, he has previously served as director of Scarborough Cardiology Research and the National Secretary of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society. Dr. Singh also co-founded the Greater Toronto Area Community Cardiology organization for specialists.

Dr Singh relocated to Atlanta in 2002. He was a partner with Northside Cardiology PC and in 2010 joined with Atlanta Heart Specialists, LLC, where he served as Director of Clinical Research. In 2020 Dr. Singh opened his own practice NSC Cardiology and NSC Research. Dr. Singh has been a councilor on the board of the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. He has been Clinical Assistant Professor at Emory University from 2002-2011, and now is in an equivalent capacity at The Medical College of Georgia – Augusta University. He is also a preceptor at Mercer University, College of Health Professions.

He also is a Senior Clinician Scientist with the Canadian Collaborative Research Network. Since 2007, he has been on the Marquis “Who’s Who in Medicine” publication list and a “Top Doc” in Georgia. In 2011, the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Cardiology commended Dr. Singh with their Distinguished Service Award. He was previously a member of the St Joseph’s Heart Failure Advisory Board. He is a principal author on the CCS Consensus Statement on Cardiac Transplantation with over 60 papers and abstracts. He is a highly sought after lecturer and enjoys teaching students!

Dr. Singh has 5 children. He speaks some Hindi. He enjoys sports, travelling, live performances, and music.
